Raw Cookie Dough & Raw Brownie Batter Smoothies! [+ A Minty Bonus]

I have made a decision: if I could eat nothing but Raw dessert smoothies for the rest of my life, I could go 100% Raw full-time. Who am I kidding? For the past 3 days I practically HAVE eaten nothing but Raw dessert smoothies! With no sugar or processed ingredients, I feel like it's perfectly okay to over-indulge in these recipes...just expect to go through bananas by the bushel.

Raw Cookie Dough Smoothie* 

Ingredients

1 banana, frozen 1/2-1 c coconut milk 1 tbsp coconut oil 1 tbsp almond butter 3 tsp pure vanilla extract 2 raw cookie dough balls [see below]

Place all ingredients in blender, process until smooth. Enjoy [over and over again].

Raw Cookie Dough Balls [adapted from Going Raw's Ice Box Chocolate Chip Cookies] Ingredients

1 c cashews, ground into a fine flour 3-4 dates, pit removed 3 tbsp almond butter a pinch of sea salt 2 tbsp cacao nibs 3 tsp pure vanilla extract

Combine ingredients in food processor, blend until the consistency of dough. Transfer dough into a medium-sized bowl. With damp hands, roll dough into golf ball-sized balls. Place balls in covered container & freeze overnight [or until nearly frozen]. Enjoy as a snack or simply make lots & lots of cookie dough smoothies!

Raw Brownie Batter Smoothie*

Ingredients

1 banana, frozen 1/2-1 c coconut milk 1 tbsp coconut oil 1 tbsp almond butter 3 tsp pure vanilla extract 1 1/2 tbsp cacao powder 2 chocolate salty raw balls

Combine ingredients in blender, process until smooth. Enjoy.

Helpful Hint: if you like your smoothies full of chewy chunks, I recommend thinking ahead and making a few chunk-sized raw balls to add in after blending. My attempt to chop one up in the blender only resulted in meager shavings of goodness. Still tasty, but not nearly as satisfying.

Bonus: Mint Chocolate Chip Smoothie [adapted from another recipe from Going Raw]

Ingredients

1 banana, frozen 1/2-1 c coconut milk [or raw almond milk] 1 tsp vanilla extract 2 tbsp fresh mint, chopped 2 tbsp cacao nibs optional: 1 cookie dough raw ball for a tasty twist

Place ingredients in blender, process until smooth. Garnish with mint leaves & a sprinkling of cacao nibs. Enjoy.
