Through a series of long held postures, CoreRestore focuses on gently stretching and healing the connective tissue that form our joints rather than on muscular engagement. CoreRestore requires minimal alignment and no muscular engagement to access the benefits of the pose. It is in this aspect that CoreRestore evolves into an individualized practice which takes into account personal anatomical structure. CoreRestore has the same goals and objectives as all other types of yoga; however, it directs the benefits and stimulation deeper than the superficial or muscular tissues. CoreRestore impacts connective tissues such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body, specifically the connective tissues of the hips, lower spine and pelvis. Suitable for all levels of students, CoreRestore is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles.
